Grade Levels
Teams will be separated by grade level as numbers allow. In situations where we don't have enough players, some grades may be combined, for example, 3rd & 4th grade on one team.

*Players may choose to play up a grade level but will need Rayfa Board permission and a signed waiver.
When
The season runs the first week of August through the weekend before MEA.
We play in the MEYFL league, which is a travel program.

Practices
Tackle Practice will begin the first week of August.
3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th will practice at the Dale Street fields north of the Harriet Alexander Nature Center on Dale.
3rd-6th will practice 3-4 days per week, depending on the coach. These are usually Monday through Thursday from 5:30/6 to 7/7:30.

Games
Games are typically once a week on Saturdays or Sundays. Occasionally, teams also have a weeknight game.
Typically, there are never more than two games in a week
We are a travel league; four games will be played at home at Dale St. Fields, RAHS stadium, or RAMS stadium. While four of the games will be on the road.
Game times vary throughout the day. Usually with younger players playing earlier in the day and older grades player the later games

- Black Football Pants with Integrated Pads

*Rayfa does have a minimal supply of youth shoulder pads and pants, Supplies are first come/first served.
We recommend attending an early helmet fitting and weigh in as supplies go quickly.
We recommend Dicks Sporting Goods or Play It Again Sports for equipment needs.
Jerseys
- New Tackle players must purchase a jersey and can do so in registration.
- Returning players will get their same jersey # from last year, a new size if needed. Returning players do not need to purchase another jersey.


RAYFA MISSION STATEMENT
Our goal at Roseville Youth Football Association is to provide every player with a positive and engaging youth football experience.
We are passionate about sourcing the best local leagues, facilities, and equipment. RAYFA coaches go through strict background checks and safety training programs so that each player may enjoy success and reach their true potential as a youth player.
Youth football at RAYFA aims to provide all players with a safe, fundamental knowledge of football coupled with good competition and the ultimate focus on fun. We will make sure that every player is coached so that they have the opportunity to learn the necessary skills and be the best player they can be. Furthermore, a focus on putting the team first, filling in wherever need be to help the team succeed.
The RAYFA board and volunteers will work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that every participating player understands the significance of teamwork, self-discipline, sportsmanship, respect for the game, teammates, opponents, and adults such as parents, coaches, and officials.
Ultimately, youth football is about development and fun. We hope that every player feels they received that experience in total at the end of the year and is excited to return the following season.
